2021 NSW CVRN Ministerial Awards for Cardiovascular Research

Nominations are now open for the 2021 NSW Cardiovascular Research Network’s (CVRN) Ministerial Awards for Cardiovascular Research.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2021 NSW CVRN Ministerial Awards for Cardiovascular Research, which recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions to research in cardiovascular diseases, including diabetes, stroke and renal disease.

Two awards will be presented by The Hon. Brad Hazzard, Minister for Health and Minister for Medical Research, at the NSW CVRN Showcase and Awards Ceremony on the 6th of October 2021:


The Ministerial Award for Cardiovascular Research Excellence recognises a distinguished career and life-long achievement and contribution to breakthroughs in cardiovascular disease

The Ministerial Award for Rising Stars in Cardiovascular Research specifically recognises the achievements of an early to mid-career researcher, up to 10 years post PhD

Applications for these Awards are by nomination – closing at 5pm Monday 16 August 2021.
