

Porridge with stewed apples and chopped pecans
- 4 medium Green Apples, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 1/2 cups Rolled Oats
- 3 cups reduced fat milk
- 200g reduced fat Greek yoghurt
- 2 tablespoons pecans, roughly chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Place apples and water in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, for 8-10 minutes or until apple is tender. Set aside.
- Place rolled oats and milk in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil, stir with a wooden spoon, then boil for 5-7 minutes until oats are thick and creamy. Remove from the heat.
- Spoon into bowls and top with yoghurt, stewed apples, chopped pecans and cinnamon.
