Heart Age Calculator

Try our Heart Age Calculator to understand what contributes to your risk of heart disease.

  • The Heart Age Calculator tells you your heart age compared to your actual age.
  • This calculator is intended for people aged 35-75.
  • Your risk of a heart attack or stroke may be higher if your heart age is greater than your actual age.
  • If you're looking for more information about the Heart Age Calculator read our FAQs below.

Your recommendation

It's never too early to start thinking about your risk factors for heart disease or discussing your family's history with your GP.

If you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage we recommend you see your doctor for a heart health check if you are over 30 years of age.

What you should do

While there are some risks you can’t change – like age, sex, ethnicity and family history of heart disease– there are other risks you can take steps towards reducing like maintaining a healthy weight, being physically active and smoke-freemanaging high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Your recommendation

As you are over 45 years old, we recommend you should have a heart health check at least every two years.

What you should do

The best thing you can do to look after your heart is to see your doctor for a heart health check. If you don't have a doctor you regularly see, Google one near you using the button below, or call our Helpline on 13 11 12.
