Atrial fibrillation resources for patients

Patient-centred care – with a focus on patient education, self-management, shared-decision making and caregiver involvement – is recognised as one of the fundamental aspects of integrated care in the guidelines for atrial fibrillation (AF). These resources have been specifically designed to assist with patient education and self-management.

Atrial fibrillation information sheet

This AF information sheet can be printed out and given to your patients. It contains comprehensive information to help their understanding of AF, including:

  • What is atrial fibrillation?
  • Causes
  • Symptoms
  • Treatments
  • Medications and lifestyle management
  • When to seek medical attention
